What is Yellow Hat Studios?

Our Studio, Your Studio

Say goodbye to booking in ‘fixed hourly‘ rehearsals and sign up to monthly Memberships. Yellow Hat Studios is a brand new London rehearsal studio whose ethos is based around five core principles – Membership, Value, Your Studios, Quality and Flexibility.

What is Yellow Hat?

Yellow Hat is……Membership. Unlike most practice studios in London, Yellow Hat operates on a monthly Membership scheme, no fixed hourly rehearsals. Your Membership option means you have access to your very own Exclusive Rehearsal Room 24/7, or share the room with two (you+2 Membership) or six (you+6 Membership) other members. Our Memberships are for bands, DJ’s, drummer, producers, musicians and other creative artists.
Yellow Hat is……Value. Yellow Hat Studios prides itself on being the best value rehearsals studio in East London and this is reflected by our rates and the fact that you’ll have 24/7 access to your practice space – we are one of the only practice rooms in the city that offer this option. Whether you’re rehearsing once a week, twice a month or have a full time project, we’ll be able to find a Membership that gives you the best value for your money.

Yellow Hat is….. Our Studio, Your Studio. We firmly believe in this idea here at Yellow Hat Studios, so of course you’re more than welcome to utilise our own high end equipment in your studio set up if you don’t have your own. Depending on your Membership option, you can leave whatever equipment you want set out ready for the next time you practice or alternatively just pop it in one of our handy storage lockers, conveniently located in your rehearsal room.
Yellow Hat is…… Yellow Hat Studios might pride itself on its great value, but that doesn’t mean we scrimp on the quality either. Our expert team of acousticians have installed bespoke quality soundproofed rooms, focussing on creating a balanced audio experience in a clean environment. We’re confident that the sound quality at Yellow Hat will rival any practice space in the London area – and blow most of them out of the water.

Yellow Hat is…. Flexible. 24 hours a day 7 days a week. No need to call and book, you have your own room or your own scheduled rehearsal times. Leave your equipment at the studio or use ours, rehearse as long as suits your needs and budget. With 24/7 access to drop your gear back at the studio after a gig.

We are currently open with COVID-19 safety measures in place. Please read our COVID safety protocol before visiting.

COVID HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES.

In adherence with government guidelines we will be opening on August 1st with the following safety measures in place:

In common areas (corridor, toilets):

  • Please wear a facemask at all times until you are back in your studio.
  • Please wash your hands in the toilet on arrival, or use the hand sanitiser provided.
  • Maintain government social distancing guidelines in common areas.
  • Common areas will be cleaned regularly, whether there are bands in or not.

In rehearsal rooms:

  • Maintain government social distancing guidelines at all times.
  • Singers; if you have your own microphones, it much safer for everyone if you could bring these and use your own at the rehearsal. If you can’t do this please bring some wetwipes with you and use them on the mic periodically throughout the rehearsal. They’ll be properly cleaned between each session anyway, but as these are one of the highest risk areas we are of the opinion that when it comes to cleaning, the more the better is definitely the case.
  • If you’re using our backline gear, please try to minimise the amount of contact you have with it i.e. try and get your levels sorted at the beginning to avoid touching them later. Again, these will be cleaned between sessions, but the less they get touched the better.
  • Please wash your hands/use our hand sanitiser as often as possible during your session and especially when you’re leaving. If people have clean hands at all times, it’ll be much safer for everyone.
  • If you can avoid touching door handles etc, please do.
  • Rooms will be thoroughly cleaned regularly.

If you have any further concerns we haven’t covered here please let us know at info@yellowhatstudios.co.uk. We’re all in this together and as such if you think we can improve our response in any way, then letting us know only helps us all. Stay safe, Yellow Hat.
